Overview
SAYiT supports young LGBT+ people, including a BAMER group, up to the age of 25 in Sheffield and South Yorkshire, by offering 1:1s, support and social groups, and youth action and empowerment projects. SAYiT offers practical support to schools and youth organisations to develop GSAs (Gender and Sexuality Alliances). SAYiT also offers Trans awareness training, LGB+ training, and sexual health training sessions to school students and professionals. SAYiT also facilitates a support group for parents and carers of Trans and LGB+ young people.
SAYiT has worked with and on behalf of young people since 1999. SAYiT’s aim is to create an environment that supports the emotional and sexual wellbeing of young people and empowers LGBT+ young people to transform their own lives and that of their peers by addressing issues of awareness, developing knowledge and addressing organisational discrimination and inequality.
