Overview

Having originally been formed by funding received by LGBT Health & Wellbeing in Edinburgh the group is now being successfully run by volunteers and has recently received Lottery funding.

We offer a safe and empowering space for the Fife transgender community through our monthly meetings which alternate between venues in Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy. Changing space is provided at both locations for those who require it.

The lower age limit for attendance is 16, but we welcome anyone who is on the transgender spectrum, their partners or parents.

We aim to provide a safe environment in which transgender people from Fife and neighbouring areas have the opportunity to socialise with others at various stages of their journey through life and to be able to talk over any concerns or issues they may have with people in similar situations to themselves.

Alcohol is not permitted at our meeting venues.

The group often has guest speakers at the neetings along with sessions which are considered beneficial to the group.

Transgender Fife was shortlisted in the Equality and Diversity category of the 2018 Fife Voluntary Action awards.
